Prints
In the olden days, we were rarely completely happy with the results achieved in the traditional darkroom. Certainly, some images were very pleasing but we always thought there was more lurking in the negative or slide than we saw on the finished print. Digital has changed all that for us, as we now have complete control over the process and can easily see what is happening, on either the camera or on the computer monitor. And we are happier not having to hide in the darkroom for hours on end with its interesting smells and noxious chemicals. All of our prints are processed to archival standards using an Epson 7600 printer (capable of prints up to 24" wide) with Epson's Ultrachrome inkset. Each of our paper/ink combinations has been custom profiled by Cathy's Profiles. We use Epson Premium Luster or Moab Entrada papers exclusively. This combination of paper and inkset is rated by Wilhelm Imaging at 70 years minimum, longer if displayed behind UV protection. Our prints are shipped rolled in sturdy tubes by UPS. Complete satisfaction is guaranteed.
Pricing
This is a difficult area, since different images from the same camera might require different proportions when printing. If you have an image you are interested in, we can certainly make suggestions as to what size proportions we would recommend. So, unlike most photographers, we charge .50 per square inch for our fine art prints! Examples would be 8x10=80 square inches x .50=$40, 16x20=320 square inches x .50=$160, 20x32=640 square inches x .50=$320, and a panoramic 8x30=240 square inches x .50=$120. You get the idea! If you have a special size in mind we can do it. All prices are based on finished printed size only. All prints will include a 1/2" to 2" border. Add 5% for shipping on the first print only, multiple prints ordered at the same time will ride in the same tube for free!
Final Note
We are not a large operation. Photography is a hobby and a love for us. We work from our home and are very proud of what we do. Most of the physical work is done by Scott, with Joyce serving as a serious critic and "art director". You can be assured that your project will have 100% of our attention and we will not be happy until you have an image which fits your needs and you can be proud of. If you have questions or would just like to "chat", please feel free to contact us through our contact page.
